MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

KEEN INTEREST OF WOMEN. MRS JONES, J.P., NOMINATED. There was a good attendance at a meeting of women held at the Y.M.C.A. last evening, convened-by Mcsdames t;. 11. Holloway, Sanford and F. M. Stevens, to discuss the question of nominating women candidates for the forthcoming municipal elections. Miss A. J. Greyille presided.

The principle of women candidates was unanimously approved, and nominations tor two candidates were called for.

Mrs I. C. M. Jones, J.P., who has done good public work in Hamilton, was nominated, and the selection of a second candidate was left to a working committee appointed by the meeting.
