BELGIUM AND GERMANY.
FRONTIER DISPUTE
DEMAND BY THE REICHSTAG.
REJECTED BY M. HYMANS,
(Timer. Cable.! (Received March 25, 10.45 a.m.)
LONDON, March 24
The Brussels correspondent of the Times states that the Senate lias been asked to approve of an arrangement concerning the administration of the Belgo-German frontier. M. Paul Hymans, Minister for Foreign Affairs, referred to the unexpected motion passed by the German Reichstag demanding the re-incor-poration of Eupen and Malmedy in Germany. He declared that this was more shocking to Belgian opinion, as it followed Belgium’s reaffirmation of her intention to pursue a policy of understanding and peace. Belgium had indisputable rights over Eupen and Malmedy, which the Allies had undertaken to maintain. The Government would not accept any discussion on Belgian frontiers or territory.
