A magistrate and priest in the village of Paramurai were driving a sled when a pack of wolves, driven from tiie mountains hv the severe weather, followed Llieir traij. The men drove off the first attack by shooting two of the wolves and the pack then fled, but Hie magistrate and priest left tiie sled lo secure the wolves’ carcases, leaving their rifles behind. The frightened horses bolted when the wolves returned, and a rescue party found the men’s skeletons.
