SALE OF BANANAS.
ALLEGED SECRET COMMISSION. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The trial, which is expected to last for several days, of La cry and Company, limited, on charges laid under (lie Secret Commissions Act, was continued in the Supreme Court to-day before the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, and a special jury of 12. The company is charged on five counts with failing In disclose to its principals a pecuniary interest in a contract, and on one count with rendering a false sales account. The charges arise out of the firm's dealing in Samoan bananas. Evidence was given by a number of customers of the defendant firm. After legal argument the case was adjourned until to-morrow.
