HAMILTON RAM FAIR. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their first day’s ram fair at claudelands Showgrounds on Thursday, February 5, when the large entry of over 1200 Southdown rams was submitted to auction. Our yarding totalled over 450. The consignments were a better class generally than last year, and buyers were well represented, and all quality rams offered elicited good competition at higher values than have been ruling elsewhere. For quality, one-shear flock Southdown rams prices ruled from Signs to Bgns; stud one-shear Southdown rams to 18gns; medium one-shear flock Southdown rams 4gns to s£gns; low-grade Southdown rams 2gns to 3jgns. WAINGARO SHEEP FAIR. Messrs' Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their annual ewe fair at Waingaro saleyards on Wednesday. : There was a good yarding of good-quality ewes and a large atendance of buyers. The demand was good and a total clearance was effected. The following were our prices, which we consider quite satisfactory: Two-tooth ewes 12s 2d to 14s lOd; on account of Mr W. S. Coate, 92 two-tooth ewes at 12s 2d; on account of Mr Arch. MoDougall, 93 two-tooth ewes at 14s lOcl (top price of sale); on account of Mr McClure, 74 ditto, at 12s; on account of Mr A. A. Tapp, 200 two-tooth ewes at 14s 3d; on account of Mr E. Jarvis, 129 four and fiveyear ews at 9s 3d; on account of Mr A. T. Clemett, 100 four and five-year owes at 9s 4d; on account of Mr E. T. Reid, 224 four and five-year ewes at 8s 8d; on account of Mr It. E. McClure, 157 four and five-year- ewes at 7s 4d; on account of Mr Thomas Eyre, 322 six and eight-tooth ewes at 12s 4d; on account of Messrs ltuffell Bros., 200 ewes at 7s Sd; on account of Messrs Wapp Bros., 200 four and fiveyear owes at 9s 3d; on account of Mr E. C. White, 141 mixed-age ewes at 7s 4cl; on account of Mr James Mahood, 120 mixed-age ewes at 8s 7cl; on account of Mr D. J. MacLcllsn, 80 four-year ewes at 12s Scl; on account of Mr Arch. McDouga.ll, 95 four and five-year ewes at 9s 2d; on account of Mr M. P. ltyan, 130 fullmouth ewes at 6s 7d; on account of Mr Thomas Parker, 80 four and fiveyear ewes at 7s sd; on account of Mr W. S.
