ST. PAUL’S SAFE
SIR M. MACARTNEY RESIGNS. LONDON, Nov. 14. “St. Paul’s is safe now 7 , and my work is finished," declared Sir Mervyn Macartney, in resigning the surveyorship of St. Paul’s, a position he has held for 26 years. Sir Mervyn added, “If Sir Christopher Wren had been more experienced, the building would not have been classed dangerous.”
