N.Z. SPORTING REVIEW.
The artistically coloured supplement included in this week’s issue of the N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review will be prized by aIL lovers of | the turf, as the picture is so typical of the sporting spirit. The Chief Scout honoured, historic Battle Abbey, outdoor checkers, girl golfers and aquatic contests are a few of the subjects in the double centre pages. A thrilling series depicts Kingsford Smith’s arrival in Sydney, and nearer home we have an exciting set of photographs of the speed boat races on the Panmure Basin. Sacred Heart College sports, secondary school sports, Labour Day events, and the visit of the Dutch fleet are generously catered for. The masculine eye will be attracted by the unique page of Toni Alley, the champion wrestler, demonstrating some of his favourite holds. The ' racing interest is provided by snaps of the Waikato Hunt meeting, Caulfield events and the j Auckland Trotting Club’s spring | gathering.
