AIR FORCE PILOTS. REFRESHER COURSE AT' WIGRANkr EARLY NEXT YEAR. WELLINGTON, Thursday. Pilots of the Wellington-Wanga-nui-Taranaki district, who are in the New Zealand Air Force, will commence their refresher course next year at Wigram aerodrome on February 17, and will remain there until February 28. Each of the four squadrons which now comprise the territorial branch of the New Zealand Air Force will go into Wigram separately, the dates being as follows: —No. 1 squadron (army co-operation), AucklandHawke’s Bay, February 3 to 14; No. 2 squadron (bomber), Wellington-Wa-nganui-Taranaki, February 17 to 28; No. 3 squadron (bomber), Canterbury - Marlborough - Nelson (West Coast), January 20 to 31; No. 4 squadron (army co-operation), Otagos* Sou I bland, March 3 to 14.

MAILS BY AIR. :< TENDERS TO BE CALLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. As the result of a decision by the Cabinet, tenders are to be called tomorrow by the Government for the carriage of mail by air between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. It is hoped that air mail services will be in operation before next Easter. Tenders will close on December 6.
