Bron, chairman of the Soviet Trade Delegation to Britain, made a statement that Soviet purchases from Britain had increased 55 per cent, in 1929-30 and Russian -sales in Britain by 19 per cent. British ships chartered .to carry Soviet grain aiid other exports numbered 418, as compared > with 76 in the previous year.
