17 BODIES RECOVERED. OVER 100 DEAD, FEARED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. NEW YORK, November 5. A later message from Millfleld, Ohio, states that 17 bodies have been recovered. The president and vicepresident of the company were on a tour of the mine at the time of the explosion, and are thought to be dead. At a late hour to-night dootors were rushed into the mine to treat 20 survivors. It is feared that the dead will total more than 100. Most of the rescued men are reported to be in a bad condition from gas. The doctors feared they would contract pneumonia if they were brought to the surface.
