OPERATIONS AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. The following sales took place on the Stock Exchange to-day:— Farmers’ Trading B. pref., 12s 6d. i Mt. Lyell, 20s 4d. Commercial Bank, 17s. • Reported. Okarifo, 5s sd. Bank of New Zealand, 55s 5dUnion•dlank, £9 17s. Farmers’ Trading, 6s 9d. i. Wellington Investment Trust, 10s. Commercial Bank, 17s 2d.
BUSINESS FAIRLY ACTIVE. BANK SHARES FIRM.. ■ (Special to-Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. Business on the exchange continues ''fairly active; with special attention directed to bank shares. For these values generally are firm, although there are some irregularities. Nationals of Australasia were a little easier this morning, with sellers at £6 10s 6d and £6 the highest offer. Australians of Commerce were firmer, with the lowest seller at £1 Is 3d. 1 New Zealand Insurances were in steady demand with buyers at £2 2s. ML Lyells eased a little, with sellers at £1 Os 6d. For Farmers’ Trading ord., 8s shares, 6s 6d was offered, and for Pukemiros £2 Os 6d. A healthy tone prevailed during the morning, and at the noon call many fresh sales were recorded. Fresh bidding found Commercials, which had a sale reported at 17s 2d, again changing hands at 17-S; with more on offer at that figure. Nationals of Australasia con. eased further, with sellers at £6 8s 6d. Colonial Sugars firmed up again with buyers at £34. Mt. Lyells were on offer at par.
