LAND TAX.

CONCESSION TO FARMERS. WELLINGTON, Thursday. Hon. E. A. Hansom announced today that to facilitate the payment of land tax, which is due to-morrow by farmers awaiting returns from wool and stock, arrangements have been made to accept promissory notes for two or three months at a discount rate of 7 per cent, per annum. 11' the notes, do not reach the department by November 28 or are not met at maturity 5 per cent additional tax will accrue.
