MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
SITTING AT NGARUAWAHIA. (Before Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M.) At a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Ngaruawahia on Thursday in a defended case in which Te Puea J-lerangi claimed from F. Davies £5, value of a peacock alleged to have keen killed by the defendant on September 27 through negligent or unskilful driving of a motor truck in the Maori pa at Ngaruawahia, judgment was given for plaintiff for the full amount and £1 lGs costs. Judgment summons cases were dealt with as under: —R. T. Ilill v. 11. L. Wilson: Crder made varying the judgment and directing defendant to pay £57 10s Cd and solicitors’ fees of £2 2s by monthly instalments of £'2. R. T. Hill v. C. Miller: Order made for payment forthwith of £3B 13s 4d and costs £1 11s 6d, in default 30 days’ imprisonment. T. Waring v. Tae King: Order made for the payment forthwith of £9 4s 5d with costs 15s 6d, in default seven days’ imprisonment. W. Waring v. Tommy King: Order made for payment forthwith of £9 5s Sd and costs 15s Gd, in default seven days in gaol.
