THE PRICE OF A KISS.

£2OO DAMAGES GIVEN. AN INCIDENT ON A STEAMER. DANCER’S CHARACTER ASPERSED. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Nov. 6, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 5. 1 Madame Pavlova’s husband, Mr. Dandre, agreed to pay £2OO as damages and costs to Miss Elsa D’Arcy, a member of a dancing troupe touring the Straits Settlements. The action arose out of a kiss snatched from Miss D’Arcy by another dancer, Siavinsky, on the deck of a steamer between Rangoon and Penang. Miss D’Arcy alleged that Dandre aspersed her character, and did not allow her to perform. Miss Pavlova, who gave her evidence in broken English, said she had the highest regard for • Miss D’Arcy’s. character.
