A MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD

TOUR OF INSPECTION. BOMBAY HILLS DEVIATION. The members of the Main Highways Board will embark on the first of their summer tours to inspect roading conditions toward the end of the month. The party will leave Wellington on November 20 on the first portion of the tour, which will embrace the east coast region and the middle section of the island. While in the north the board will take the opportunity of conferring with the members of the Franklin County Council at Pukekohe on the question of completing the Bombay Hill deviation. Later in the summer the board will make a tour of inspection of the North Auckland roads, after which they will visit the west coast and Taranaki areas of the North Island.
