TRAINING AT RICCARTON. CIMABUE SHOWS LAMENESS. SARGON MUSCLE-SORE. (By Telegraph—Special to 1 Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. At Riccarton this morning the. Cup and Stewards’ candidates were all out doing easy pacing on the plough, with the exception of Cimabue, who was slightly lame in front. They were in their usual health. L. Wilson sent Simba home last night. Gustavo was given solid, threequarter pace work on the plough and pulled up sound. His trainer reports that the heat is leaving the colt’s leg. Sargon is going very short. He is muscle-sore all over. Don Jose was accepted for in the Riccarton Handicap, but he will not run. lie is to be reserved for a race later at the meeting. A.McAuiay stated this morning that Night March’s final gallop will be over a mile.
