THE REFORM LEAGUE.
FINAL BALLY OF YEAR. SEVERAL ADDRESSES GIVEN. The final evening of the season. of the Hamilton branch of the Junior Reform League was held at Toorak Chambers last evening. After an exchange of welcomes, an address on the Reform Party and the political condition of the country was given by Mr J. A. Young,,M.P. Mrs A. E. Harding, of Dargaville, a member of the Dominion executive of the women’s division of the party, then spoke on “Empire Preference and Tariffs.” Mr S. S. Saulbrey also spoke. . , Considerable interest was evinced in a reading of the one-act play “The Bathroom Door,” with the following cast: —Young man, Mr Jull; Boots, Mr Westwater; Old Lady, Miss Jane; Prirna Donna, Miss T. Judge; Old Gentleman, Mr G. Anchor; Young Ladv, Miss M. Barber. An enjoyable evening concluded with supper and dancing. Yesterday afternoon a large gathering of women comprising representatives from local electorates was addressed by Mrs Harding at Hie Y.M.C.A.
