“HAPPY DAYS.”

SUCCESSFUL EXTRAVAGANZA. MISS ISABELLE BROOK’S PUPILS. The dance extravaganza, “ Happy Days,” presented at the Theatre Royal last night by the pupils of Miss Isabelle Brook, proved very successful. The theatre was crowded, and that the programme was thoroughly enjoyed was proved by the loud applause with which each item was rewarded. Many of the pupils were very young, but Hie standard of the work *vas high, reflecting credit on the performers and on their instructress. Miss Brook’s solo work was delightful. Another talented dancer was Miss Peggy Holmes, of Auckland, whose timing was also particularly good. Her “ Pipes of Pan,” “Egyptian Tambour,” and (with Miss-Mardi Brook) “Flirtation” were very popular items.- Little Marelti Monteith more than justified her billing as ,“ Hamilton’s Jazz Baby;” her dancing was exceptionally clever.
