BACHELORS’ BALL.

AT WALTON. The bachelors of Walton and surrounding districts held one of the most successful functions, which has taken place in the local hall for some time on Thursday evening last. The hall was beautifully decorated and the lighting effect was extremely soft and pleasing, blending with the various colours worn by the ladies in an effective manner which was much appreciated. The music, which was all that could be desired was upplied by the K.B. band, (Thames) extras being played by Mrs Sherley and Mr Von Sturmer. Fruit salads and jellies were served in the early part of the evening and later a good supper, consisting of, many varieties was partaken of. Mr F. Smith, assisted by Mr A. Dewe, acted as M.C. Mr Smith thanked the people for the successful evening and he thanked especially the ladies who had helped in the preparation." The financial part of the evening entertainment was thoroughly successful.
