AUSTRALIA’S FUTURE.

EXPRESSION OF CONFERENCE. MODERATE OPINION TRIUMPHS. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Nov. 3, 9 a.m.) : LONDON, Nov. 2. A striking expression of confidence in Australia’s future, despite present complications, is embodied in an editorial in the Financial Times, which expresses satisfaction at the triumph of moderate opinion at the Federal caucus stating this implies the honouring of the pledge 'given by Mr J. 11. Scullin. It adds,: "It will be necessary for capital and labour to move more or less on parallel lines. There is no ground" to apprehend other than a satisfatcory emergence from the troubles which are little more .than a skin rash, considered in relation to the underlying vitality of economic structure of the Commonwealth. There never was any substantial justification for fearing that Australian credit w'ould not be buttressed by appropriate action y by both Commonwealth and States. A great deal to stuoilise the financial position has been done already, "and the aggregate of progress is material.
