With the development of the Technical High School the interest in the school by old pu.pils has steadily increased, and a strong desire has been expressed for some time that an old boys’ association be formed. A preliminary meeting has already been held to discuss the matter and a general meeting will be held to-morrow evening at the,school, when it is hoped to form a live association. The project to secure the services of a qualified veterinarian for Te Awamutu district was advanced a further stage at a meeting of farmers, Mr A. Ilanna (president of the Te Awamutu Branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union) occupying the chair. It was decided to form a committee to canvass for more members gver a radius of approximately 10 miles, and ail present were appointed, with power to add. Mr A. ,S. Wyllie was elected chairman of the provisional committee, with Mr J. G. Wynyard Rbp.i’p.tai’v.
