AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
HAMILTON CLUB. ALTERATION IN MEETINGS. t At a meeting of the committee of the Hamilton Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club, the secretary reported that Steele Park will not be available for any small meetings to be held on Saturday afternoons during the season. In view of this report, the committee have found it necessary to alter the date of the meeting advertised for November 8, at Steele Park and revert to evening meetings. A series .of these will be conducted at the High School Sports grounds, commencing on Monday, November 17, at 6 p.m. with 100, 300 and 880 yards running and 1 mile cycle events, entries for which will close on Friday, November 14.
There now being no crack cyclists in the club, and Auckland cyclists not being eligible to compete in amateur events, the time is now opportune for new and young cycle enthusiasts to commence competing and they will be welcomed by the club. All intending members are advised to communicate with the secretary Mr J. Prisk, as sooa as possible.
