NEW LIQUID INSECTICIDE. The problem of fly prevention in the coming season promises to be attacked from even more points than usual. A feature of the fly destruction campaign this year will be the new liquid “Shelltox,” a preparation manufactured and marketed by the Shell Company, which is claimed to he one of the quickest and deadliest insecticides yet produced. The new specifle is the outcome of long reesareh in the Shell laboratories, and has the quality of being harmless td any fabrics with which it comes in contact. It wall not stain walls, furniture or floor coverings, and ils virtue in this respect is aptly summed up in the slogan, “No harm where harm is not intended.” it is a transparent fluid with a cleanly pleasant odour. A feature in the new product which will commend it to housewives is its ease of operation by means of the Shelltox Sprayer, which projects a particularly line mist into the atmosphere, and permeates all corners of the room.

So effective is Shelltox that it is certain death to an insect to pass through the mist-sprayed atmosphere, and rooms can be easily cleared from houseflies and blowflies, etc., within a few minutes.

Its use is not confined to the destruction of flies —it destroys bugs, cockroaches and mosquitoes, and is invaluable as a preventive against clothes’ moths and silverfish. Shelltox is obtainable at chemists, grocers and general slores throughout New Zealand.
