THEOSOPHICAL LECTURE.
KRISHNAMURTI. A lecture was delivered by Bishop Arundale in the Theosophical Hal!, when he 'spoke on the subject of “Krishnamurti, a Great Messenger. The lecturer expressed the opinion that Krishnamurti was a messenger who was revealing the aspect or truth most suited to the world’s present needs. The essential factor, however, was that it was tne message, and not the messenger, whic.i was of paramount _ importance. Krishnamurti avas not offering- to the world a new message, but was rather reminding people of their own 15 Lent divinity, a forgotten aspect or the ever-present truth of the Immanence of God. His purpose was to urge men to free themselves from their dependence upon faiths and religions, and. using these only as they appealed individually, realise themselves as gods in the making, stand or. their own feet and do their own thinking, in order to ITnd an u rulers rand in £ gl life and attain their goal. The world, the lecturer said, is never left without a messenger. History is being repeated at a higher level of the spiral, and, as before, men of the present do not recognise the wonders of their time. Even 100 years hence the world will look back and exclaim at the unique opportunities that are ours, and the outstanding figure of ’the time will be seen to have been —Krishnamurti.
