“HARMONY HEAVEN.”
ATTRACTIVE BRITISH FILM. AT THE STRAND THEATRE. “ Harmony Heaven,” delighted two large audiences at the Strand Theatre on Saturday, and proved again the rapid strides made by British producers. Here was a revue quite the equal of anything made, in America—• in fact, superior in many respects to the Hollywood production. Filmed in technicolour, “ Harmony Heaven ” has lavish settings, an excellent, musical score and a strong cast of ■ English actors, including Polly Ward, a well-known vaudeville artist on the London stage, Stuart Hall, a likeable juvenile, and Jack Raine, a olever light comedian. How delight- .; ful it was to hear the English language spoken by cultured English players, and melodious revue numbers without a raucous “ O.K|, Baby!” The story that runs through the picture is full of romance and interest and holds, the attention of the audience .from beginning to end. The film proves again that British producers have little to the Americans. Another big attraction on the programme was “ Hot Dog,” in which all . the “ actors ” were' dogs. The film was 'a great novelty and extremely amusing, the manner, in which the 'r canines went through their parts being amazing. _
