Owing to the decision of the Auckland Diocesan Synod to prohibit moving pictures at services of the Chtirch of England, the Auckland City Mission will discontinue city theatre services and incorporate its Sunday activities with, those of the Church of the Epiphany, Karangahape Road. The change will become effective In two -or three weeks, when the Rev. Jasper Calder, city missioner, will assume charge of the Newton parochial district.' Although ordained 21 yearsrago Mr Calder has' never been a vicar, and the Church of the Epiphany will be his first permanent parochial charge.
