£6 TAKEN FROM BOARDER, AN UNSUCCESSFUL CHASE. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) . WAIPUKURAU, Tuesday. - At five o’clock this morning a hoarder at the Tavistock Hotel, named Walton, was aroused from his sleep) to find a man in the bedroom in the T act of lifting a gold watch. Walton leaped out of bed, and chased the intruder along a passage, but the man disappeared down a fireescape. A later investigation revealed that another boarder, named Plestey, had had £6 taken from a w-allet whioh had been left in a coat in his bedroom.
