MOTHER’S UNION.

PROGRESS IN WAIKATO. TWO NEW BRANCHES. Steady growth continues in the Mothers’ Union in the Waikato Diocese. Since the annual meeting in July two new branches have been formed, one at Ngaruawahia and one at Te Awamutu. There are now 17 branches in the Diocese and about 100 probationers will shortly be admitted. The “Quiet Day” will probably be held about the middle of October, though the actual date has not yet been fixed. Several branches have already intimated that many, of their members hope to be present (stales the Waikato Diocesan Magazine). It is hoped next month to publish an account of the world-wide conference held in England during the Lambeth Conference. The Mothers’ Union in England is still emphasising the necessity of mothers endeavouring to bring religion into their homes.
