FRANKTON CARNIVAL. TO-NIGHT’S CEREMONY. Large crow’ds are expected at the Frankton Town Hall this evening to witness the coronation of “Queen Miriam," of Frankton West, which will signalised the termination of the successful Frankton Queen Carnival. For many weeks the contest was closely fought among the various candidates and as ia result of the splendid efforts of the people of Frankton a large sum w r as raised towards the parish funds. Since the close of the competition many committees and families have been diligently preparing for to-night’s function which, it is believed, will be unique in the history of local carnivals.

A supper and dance will follow' the crowning ceremony.
