HAMILTON GUN CLUB.
SUCCESSFUL SHOOT. The Hamilton Gun Club held a shoot at the club’s ground, Ruakura, on Saturday, when trophies presented by Messrs G. Thrupp and H. H. Howden were shot for. Following were the results: — No. 1 Sweep, 6 birds, 13 shooters. —M. Pratt, W. J. McMiken, H. Earle and Wm. Howe shot the possible, and divided the sweep. No. 2 Sweep, 9 birds, 14 shooters; for trophy presented by Mr G. Thrupp. G.' Peach, J. Findlay, F. Hyde, W. J. McMiken and C. Seddon shot 8 birds each, Hyde winning the shoot-off, McMiken 2, Findlay 3. for gold medal presetnted by Mr H. H. Howden.—J. Findlay and G. Thrupp shot the possible, Thrupp winning the shoot-off.' No. 4 Sweep, 9 birds, 9 shooters M. Pratt, C. Seddon, E. Green, F. Hyde and W. Okane shot 8 each. The shoot-off resulted:—Green, 1; Hyde, 2; Pratt, 3. No. 5 Sweep, double rise, 10 birds. —Pratt, E. Green and G. Thrupp shot 7 each, and divided the sweep. No. 6 Sweep, double rise, 6 birds. — Won by G. Thrupp with 5 birds. E. Green and W. J. McMiken tied With 4 each for second place.
