CHURCH CO-OPERATION.
PRESBYTERIAN AND METHODIST, PROPOSALS ADOPTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. The district committee of. the Methodist Church accepted the proposals of a joint committee of Presbyterian and Methodist churches for closer co-operation between the two denominations. Rev. P. D. Patchett, district chairman, said the findings of the committee were significant of the disposition to sink differences and rivalries. The proposals had a hearing on the questions of over-lapping and membership with a view- to so adjusting the interests of the two denominations that their spheres of influence could be mapped out in a spirit of co-operation and goodwill. It also suggested that where members were isolated fromtheir own church they bp official.'* encouraged to link up in membership with the sister church. It was decided to forward the proposals to the Methodist Church courts throughout the Dominion.
