PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY UNION. The monthly meeting of the P.W. M.U. was held at Mrs A. Middlemtss’s residence on Friday afternoon, a large number of ladies being present. Mrs Thompson presided, and as the secretary was not, able to be present, Mrs Hay was voted to All the position pro tern. Letters were read by Mesdames Davison and Hay on missionary and P.A. work. Mrs Thompson read a very interesting paper, written by Miss Hutchins, a missionary member from , India. The subject of the paper was “Kashmir." Mrs Buckingham reported on the result of the Corresponding Members’ League, which was encouraging. Rev. James Hay, of Cambridge, has consented to give a lecture on Maori Missions, on July 29, in aid of the P.W.M.U. funds. At next month’s meeting members of the Hamilton P.W.M.U. are going to be present. Mrs Middlemiss kindly entertained the ladies to afternoon tea.
