PENDAVIES NOT GOING. NOT SUFFICIENTLY FORWARD. Pendavles, the locally-trained gelding, does not appear among the acceptors for the Grand National Steeplechase and will not make the trip to Riccarton. Although the schooling efforts of the son of Arohiestown were considered to be quite promising it has been decided that his condition is not sufficiently forwai’d to justify his contemplated engagement. Another factor that has no doubt influenced his connections in this decision is that he would have had to go down on his own and as he is not a good traveller this would not have been to his advantage.
