TAMAHERE.
The Season. After the recent rains the very mild spell is much appreciated. All stock in the district Is looking particularly healthy and the new dairying season is well advanced, the “hobby calf " lorries having made their appearance. 'The local cheese factory is being newly painted and renovated and r new cottage in conjunction with it Is being built. Several new suppliers are expected this season. The Tamahere Debating Society met at Mrs 11. Windsor’s on Tuesday evening and spent! a very enjoyable time. After several animal ed discussions Ihe evening was terminated with bridge, Miss Pearse and Mr Owen making the highest scores. Mr S. Kit’s on left by the “ Maunganui ” en route for England on Wednesday. He expects to re,turn in ahoul a year. Mr Boyd, who has been seriously indisposed for some weeks, is now convalescent. Mrs R. J. McKenzie of “ Aberdeen ’’ is spending a holiday in Wellington. Miss Mullon visited Rotorua during the week-end.
