TATUANUI.
School Games. The Tatuanui school football and , tasketball teams visited Waitoa and ■were'beaten by the Waitoa school in both games. In the football match the score was ■Waitoa 19, Tatuanui 8, and Waitoa ■won the basketball match by 9—3. The Tatuanui boys made good.showing against the heavier team and just before the end of the game they provided an exciting incident, when A.lleson broke away and scored a good try, which was converted, making the score somewhat more encouraging. The boys have been beaten twice by Waitoa and Ngarua, but have done very well for their sizq, and are expecting to win when they play again. A practice game with Te Puninga is to be played, and later.on a combined Tatuanui and Ngarua team may play Walton. Funds For Hall. Another successful dance and card evening was held in Tatuanui Hall and the hall fund benefited to the extent of about £7. The weekly card contest between Te Puninga' and Tatuaniii resulted in a win for Tatuanui by a narrow margin, the ultimate prize-winners being Mrs A. Crowe and Mr W. Inniss. There was no shortage of musicians for,, dancing. Those who assisted were: Mesdames A. W. Crowe (Te Aroha), McEwen, T. ; L. Scott, T. Norton, Mrs Y. L. Kelk and Miss Gwen Crowe.
