VALUE OF SERVICES. APPRECIATED BY SYNOt). “His work has been an inspiration in mission work among our Maori brethren," declared Archdeacon G. G. Bell at the Waikato Synod last evening in warmly praising the Bishop of Aotearoa and his activities since his consecration. The Archdeacon moved—- “ That this Synod sends to the Right Rev. the Bishop of Aotearoa assurance of its appreciation of the work being done by His Lordship in reviving churchmanship among t’he Maori people of this and other dioceses; its gratification that the Bishop is meeting with much encouragement in his labours, and its hope that His Lordship will soon be recovered to complete health and strength.” Archdeacon Gavin said he could not let the motion pass without voicing his personal appreciation of all the Bishop had done in the Taranaki archdeaconry. Rev. K. T. Harawira spoke of the value of His Lordship’s services among the native raqe, and said it was Bishop Bennett’s intention to visit the diocese more frequently in the future. The motion. was carried ’ amid acclamation.
