A team from the Otorohanga District High School jonrneyed to Te Kuiti on Saturday morning; and engaged the Te Kuiti District High School representatives team, in a match for the Teddy Shield. A fine game resulted in victory for Te Kuiti (holders) by 12 points to (3. The teams were very evenly matched. Scarletlna Epidemic. Several severe ' cases of scarletina have been reported, and removals to the isolation ward at Hamilton have been frequent. School Travel. Students are attending the Otorohanga District High School who have to travel as far as 17 miles each way daily. The “Talkies.” The postal poll of the ratepayers of Otorohanga on the question of the installation of the “Talkies” in the local Municipal Theatre closed on Saturday, when it was found that only 87 ratepayers exercised their right to
vote. The result was in favour of leasing the picture rights. About a year ago a postal vote was taken on the question of leasing the Town Hall', and the result of that poll was emphatically against leasing. Since then conditions have changed.
