WAIKATO MARKET. WEEKLY REVIEW. HEAVY SUPPLIES OF BEEF. Beef.—Heavy yarclings of botn ox and cow beef are offering, and prices during the week have been somewhat easier. . It certainly looks only temporary caused by the heavy supplies exceeding the demand. Best ox is making 35s per 1001 b, and prime cow 30s. Fat Sheep.—There are a lot of fat sheep offering, and the last rise has not been sustained. Prices for both wethers and ewes are easier. It does not look as if we are likely to see fat sheep very high this, winter. Store Sheep.—There is still a fair inquiry for good lines of breeding ewes. Good hoggets are meeting with fair competition, but wethers are .dull of sale. Store. Cattle.—Very few lines a’rdf offering, and the yardings are small. There is a demand for good yearling Jersey heifers. Dairy Cattle.—Competition is keen for good dairy cows and choice springing heifers, but backward and inferior sorts are not wanted. Pigs.—The yardings of baconers and porkers have been small, with good competition. There is also a strong inquiry for breeding sows and good stores. Horses.—There is quite a good demand for useful farm horses.
