HAMILTON SAVINGS BANK.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I am thankful to “Withdrawal" for directing attention to what is an important matter. No privacy is possible when conducting business in the public rooms when deposits or withdrawals are being made by customers at the Savings Bank. A client can preserve secrecy until he approaches the grille, but once there the nature of his business is thrown open to the gaze of all in the vicinity. It is little use pledging officials to preserve secrecy regarding bank business if facilities provided are so open that all present may read. Now that' attention has been drawn ,to the matter possibly something will be done to afford a remedy which should be a simple matter.—l am, etc., CLIENT.
