OFFICERS INSTALLED.
MORRINSVILLE DRUIDS. There was a large attendance at the h'alf-yearly installation of officers of the Star of Piako Druids’ Lodge, Morrinsville, .and for the first time in the history of the lodge a number of ladies was present. District President Bro. C. Hayward, of the Rotorua Lodge, was' the installing officer. The following were installed:—Bro. A. Howie, A.D.; Bro. T. Makene, V.A.; Bro. A. V. Allett, secretary; Bro. E. Grigg, treasurer and minute secretary; Bro. H. Christian, L.G.; Bro. J. Calvert, 0.G.; Bros. R. Steel and T. Hemt, A.D.B.’s; Bros. G. Peterson and J. Campbell, V.A.R.; Bro. R. H. Goble, M.C. Past officers’ collars were presented to the following:—Past District President Bro. R. H. Goble, P.D.P.; collar; Bro. J. Calvert, P.A. collar; Bro. A. V. Allett, Past Secretary’s collar. After the installation a social function was held. Numerous toasts were honoured and musical items were given by Messrs Echlin, Calvert, Bolton and Mrs Gifford. KEREONE ODDFELLOWS. At the half-yearly installation of officers of the Kereone Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., at which Bro. R. T. Scott, P.D.G.M., officiated -as installing officer Bros. W. J. Veels, P.D.G.M., and E. R. Davies, P.G., acted as conductors. Honours of the Order were extended to Bros. Scott and Veels. The following officers were installed: —V.G., Bro. J. P. Nandy; I.P.N.G, Bro. R. R. Heaton; V.G., Bro. G. Barlow; E.S:, Bro. S. J. Brown; Warden, Bro. J. Groube; Guardian, Bro. R. Coutts; right supporter of V.G., Bro. R. D. Corcoran, P.G.; left supporter, Bro. M. J. Davies; right supporter of V.G., Bro. K. L. Harnett; left supporter, Bro G-. Norman; lecture master, Bro. C. 11. Manson. MATAMATA ODDFELLOWS. The installation of officers of Loyal Lodge Matamata, No. 8064, was carried out on June 10 by Bro. R. T. Scott, D.D.G.M., Morrinsville. Officers were installed as follows: N.G., Bro. L. W Ayling; V.G., Bro. J. Schwarz; E.S., Bro. K. W. Vincent; 1.P.N.G., Sister Griffiths. A social was held afterwards, when the usual toasts were honoured and items were rendered toy Messrs E. Beagrie and E. Fielder. On behalf of the Lodge a presentation of a cheque was made to Bro. T. Stanley as a wedding present.
