Sellers of May/June shipment are quoted: Calcutta, £lB 10s; Bombay, £l9 10s; Plate, £l7 ss. BUTTER AND CHEESE. Leonard and Son, Ltd., has received the following cablegram from A. C. Rovvson, London, dated May 23: Butter. —New Zealand, finest, 128 s; first grade* 1265. The demand is very slow' and the market steady. The outlook is uncertain. Cheese.—New Zealand, white 70s, coloured 85s. The market is weak, and the demand very' slow. Prices are near bottom. Deliveries: New Zealand and Australian, 17,789 crates; Canadian, 1899 boxes. Stock: New Zealand and Australian, 132,609 crates; Canadian, 96,147 boxes.
