Reeve, T. E. Jones-Davies, A. L. Novis, C. D. Aavold; halves, N. Poole, H. M. Bowcott; forwards, S. Martindale, D. Parker, H. C. Jones, J. Hodgson, J. L. Farrell, F. D. Prentice, M. J. Dunne, H. Wilkisnon.
WING-FORWARD PLAY. RUGBY CHAIRMAN’S ATTITUDE. WELLINGTON, Monday. The remarks of Mr James Baxter, manager of the British Rugby team, that the man who tried to play wingforward was a cheat, were to-day referred to Mr S. S. Dean, .chairman of the Management Committee of the Rugby Union. Mr Dean said he would prefer not to comment at present. He would have an opportunity of replying later, and fully intended to do so.
OPINION OF EX-PLAYERS. NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. AUCKLAND, Monday. “Snowy" Lucas (a brother of Freddie), who played in many Army games in 1919, says Baxter should not be taken seriously.
