SERVICE PAGEANT.

MILITARY TOURNAMENT. \ GREAT HISTORIC DISPLAY. . PROCEEDS FOR SERVICE CHARITIES (Omclal Wireless.) RUGBY, May 23. The Royal Military Tournament, in which the Navy, Army, aud Air Force combine annually to give at Olympia a display which is one of the most pleasant and most picturesque events' of the London season, will he opened by the King and Queen next Thursday. This year there will be 54 oflicers and 1 GOO 'of other ranks, together with 300 horses ahd numerous guns, tanks, and other vehicles used in the performance, and a historical pageant in the uniforms of the Seventeenth Century will be provided by the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers. Last year £27,000 was raised by the tournament, which lasts a fortnight. In all, the annual displays have raised £250,000 for service charities.
