ASSOCIATION FOTBALL.

SOUTH AUCKLAND BODY. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. Mr Jas. Baillie presided over the usual weekly meeting of the South Auckland Football Association, held last evening. The Huntly Club wrote asking for the' transfer of several players from the Rotowaro Club. —It was decided to advise them that clearance must be obtained from Rotowaro and also that the permission of the players is to be obtained. Huntly also wrote regarding players’ expenses,:.and a gold medal which was promised by the late secretary.—lt wa's decided to investigate the matters. Huntly Thistle Club advised that they would enter a junior team in a competition if medals were provided for the winners.— They are to be adyised that the matter will have consideration, although members expressed surprise at the attitude of the club in their request. Huntly Sunshine Cup fixtures came up for discussion, and were left tc the fixtures committee to arrange, with a recommendation that the first round be fixed for August 2. Three school balls were received from the New Zealand Football Association and these were allotted to Wliitiora, Hamilton East and'Hamilton West schools. Auuckland Football Aassociation wrote offering £ls for a match in Auckland on June 3, but as the minimum expenses of the journey would be £l7 10s it was-decided to offer to travel for that sum, members expressing the opinion that it was too much to expect South Auckland to travel for less than the actual expenses of the team, especially as previous matches between the twd sides at Blandford Park, had always shown a margin to the Auckland association.

A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr. R. W. Cook for his valued services at the social evening to the ex-secretary, held last Saturday. Fixtures for Saturday next were approved as follows: Wanderers v. Huntly (Mr. Marsh), Pukemiro v. Thistle (Mr.’ Lochey), Glen Massey v. Rotowaro (Mr. Muir) Y.M.C.A. a bye.
