SMASHED TO PIECES.
HOUSE AT ESKDALE. TREE FALLS ACROSS IT. • (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, Thursday. A house at Eskdale was smashed to pieces by a huge pine tree. The wind caught the tree as it was prepared for being brought down, and carried it in the opposite direction. Nobody was hurt. The house, which was the property of Mr. R. Holt and occupied by Mr. F. Saunders, was ruined.
