REVIVAL MEETING.

INCREASED INTEREBT. There has (been a steady increase in the numbers attending the meetings conducted in the Baptist Church by Mr Johnston., A number of visitors from Morrinsville attended last night. Following on with his subject of the previous night, the, missioner said there were three dominant. notes which stand out with great; clearness throughout the. New Testament, which, when understood,,, do much to interpret the experience of many' of God’s people. • These are responsibility, inability, possibility, responsibility to the unbeliever, who constantly rejects the love of God as revealed in Christ; t.h°e need in the world around gives abundant evidence of the Christianas j responsibility. Many a Christian is devoted, but is defeated, realising his great inability to accomplish, that which God expects of him. The missioner went on to say that this life of defeat could only give place to victory, when the child of God ceases to depend on self, and realises the great possibility of a life in the power of the Holy Spirit. To-night’s meeting will be the last jr this week.
