The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Ltd., draw attention to the Hamilton stock sale tomorrow, where they will yard 100 head of cattle and 700 sheep; also Coromandel stock sale, where 100 head of cattle will be yarded. Recognised as being bred on the best lines for butterfat production the “Romani” Jersey pedigree herd is known for its records of testing throughout the-North Island and the decision of the breeder,, Mr H. J. Harris to sell has afforded an opportunity to dairy farmers to purchase this unequalled blood. The main line of descent is from that sire of bucket fillers, Waipiko Masterpiece, and the blending strain is that of Sweet Mermaid, whose progeny hold innumerable records In butterfat production. The sale has been fixed for Thursday, May 15, on the home farm, " Romani,” Maratoto, Hikutaia, near Thames. Arrangements have been made to furnish details o'f the present season’s testing records at the time of the sale and the others are contained a fully detailed catalogue which may he obtained from the vendor or the auctioneers, Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Company at any of their branches. Breeders who are desirous of obtaining the best producing pedigree Jersej blood in the North Island should make a note of this sale.
