D The oaffodi! Fairy whom Johnny had sot free was quite a talkative little creature. “ 3 should love to see the Fa.ry Palace, Joan said to her “We’ll seo if we can manage It,” said Daffodil. “But you mortals c annot fly so I suppose the Butterflies will have to take you “Come along, Butterflies,” she cried, and before you could say “Bo” several beautiful little butterflies were fluttering about them heads. IMow when Johnny heard the news he could not believe that they could ride ‘horse back’ on butterflies (and by the look of Bone in our third picture, ho could not believe it cither). However the Daffodil fairy soon cleared up their doubts—she touched the Butterflies with her little wand and—Hey Presto ! ! they grew and grow until they looked like llttio aeroplanes. We shall see whether our adventurers can ride “ butterfly-bao k ” next weekPETER PAN*
