HANCOCK BEATS TROWERN. THE VERDICT HOOTED. DUNEDIN, Tuesday. The 15-round professional contest between Wally Hancock (Australia), lOst. 3jib..’ and Reg Trowern (New Zealand), 1 Ost. lUb., was won by Hancock on points. When the referee raised Hancock’s hand at the end of the bout, a storm of hooting came from the majority of the 2000 spectators. Trowern carried the fight to his opponent practically throughout the contest, and he made the Australian miss badly at times. DONOVAN TO IVIEET GRIME. lIAWERA, Tuesday. The Hawera Boxing Association has finalised arrangements for a 15-rounds bout between the New Zealander, Tommy Donovan, and the Australian, W. Grime, to take place at Hawera on April 24.
