The latest manifestation of labour unrest in Tokyo is that the tramcar operatives, consequent on bonus reductions, are reported to be going slow.
Discontented union leaders are advocating sabotage, and meanwhile officials have prepared for an emergency mobilisation to carry on transport m the event of a strike of motormen. The police are guarding the car lines. The situation is serious.
